As a Java Tech Lead at Emergn, you’ll help us shape Emergn’s exciting future and play an important role in our growth.

We want you to:
- Take responsibility over designing, coding, testing and deploying Java-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, architecture and delivery timelines.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
You’re a perfect fit if you have:
- 8+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on high-performance applications.
- Strong expertise in Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience in agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively.
Nice to have:
- Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) and RESTful API development.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Location requirement:
- Although this position offers the possibility to work remotely, you have to be based anywhere in Portugal.
