On August 30th, The Stevie Awards for Great Employers international business competition named Emergn a Bronze winner in the Employer of the Year – Business & Professional Services category. The award serves as a powerful testament to the effort our team has made over the last year to engage employees worldwide during a tremendously difficult season. 

Every year, eight Stevie Awards programs garner more than 12,000 nominations from organizations in 70 countries, making it a highly competitive process. The Stevie Awards for Great Employers specifically recognize the people, teams, and organizations that create and drive great places to work.

Our Stevie submission focused primarily on one of our core principles: “We care for and invest in people.” As an organization with 700 employees spread across 10 countries, we know that maintaining “togetherness” is critical, especially amid a highly disruptive global pandemic. 

Going back to the summer of 2020, our leaders took steps to unite our team and manifest our guiding principles in new, creative ways. One step in particular that resonated with our team was the establishment of the #myemergn Awards program, which gives employees the opportunity to nominate peers across the organization who go above and beyond the high expectations that come with working at Emergn.

In the inaugural year of the #myemergn Awards program, the nomination process attracted 224 nominees who received 1,000+ votes cast by peers across the business. The program culminated in a virtual awards ceremony with 450 participants who were able to meet, share stories, and build relationships over several hours. We recognized the first group of individual winners and amplified their stories after the event. 

In addition to the #myemergn Awards program, we continued the tradition of honoring people through the Above and Beyond Awards and CEO Awards programs, both of which provide additional opportunities for our team members to receive recognition for their hard work and commitment to our core values.
