The global company to continue Portuguese growth with new public and private sector clients, plus recruitment drive.

PORTO – August 2024 – As it celebrates 15 years, Emergn, the world’s most trusted and respected leader in digital business services, has announced the planned expansion of operations in Portugal. The company established a technology hub in Porto in 2022 that has grown locally and across the country, with continued, accelerated growth expected. Up to this point, Emergn focus on the region has been on technological development for its international clients. Given the high demand for Emergn’s services in Portugal, the firm is bringing its full range of services to the Portuguese market, including consulting, learning, and technology services, along with innovative concepts that have already served more than 350 clients. It is expected to rapidly expand local clients over the next two years.

Since its start, Emergn has invested in perfecting a game-changing philosophy for the world of work to transform businesses with its methodology – Value, Flow, Quality (or VFQ for short) – combining the best of Agile, Lean, design thinking, systems thinking, economics, psychology, and sociology. Over the last two years, Emergn Portugal has built a team of product development talents. The local journey also includes strong partnerships with Porto Tech Hub, Porto Innovation Hub, the Porto UX community, and the Geek Girls community. They all work towards promoting and developing Porto as a global technological center. In the public sphere, initiatives are also taking place with AICEP (Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal) and the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

We opened our Porto hub in 2022, focusing on having it function as a development center, but over time, we realized that we could lead projects from here, which is what we have been doing since. Portugal is a world-class technological hub and is located in a key geographic position. We have been building a world-class product development team over the last two years and feel that we are now ready to provide our services to the local market. There is a need for the real innovation that we provide, and we want to strengthen our presence in the EMEA region further.
